the 12th doctor is like if you had an old asf 2x divorced autistic professor who had a single extremely fraught whirlwind relationship with a man in the late 70s/early 80s that ended so badly he was left traumatized and then immediately repressed all gay urges thereafter except that he connects extremely well with all his weird gay students and when you casually drop that you have a girlfriend or something he immediately tries to awkwardly connect with you by going "you know, when i was younger....... i engaged in similar…. dalliances myself"
